January 03, 2008It's Time For A Little PerspectiveIt's time for a little perspective. Rabid souls on both the left and the right clamor about the sad / sorry / disastrous / stoopid / insert-your-denigratory-adjective-here state of affairs in this country. The further outside the mainstream their views are, the louder they clamor; as if they never got past that stage of childhood where volume is mistakenly perceived to be an indicator of rightness. Most of those with the strongest opinions seem to have the least ability to understand the potentially long-term, far-reaching ramifications of getting what they wish for. Many are so caught up in their fervent belief that they know what's best for others and for society that it borders on the sociopathic. I like this perspective: Comments
